Wowsa, what a busy couple of weeks! I have been mainly trying to sort out everything in the world and do lots of work on the website – not as easy as I had first anticipated, however having seemingly uploaded a million photos and descriptions, I am now very pleased with the end results. Well not really the end product as its still a work in progress but in essence I am now a fully fledged stockist of lots of wonderful fabrics!
Its almost impossible to chose which ones are my favourite, because in essence as I use all of them in different projects I love them all, but here’s a quick lowdown of some of this months most popular ones:
Emily Bond: Geese & Blue Dachshund – Love both of these, they are really versatile and fit into lots of room schemes because they are neutral, but the detail is fantastic and they really add a point of interest. I have just made a gorgeous Geese lampshade (I’ll show you soon) and Emily Bond’s linen is perfect to work with.
Sarah Hardaker: Florence in Rhubarb & Apple Green Vintage Paisley – I can’t really rant about Sarah’s fabric enough. Her range is vast and it is almost impossible to chose just 2, but these are my current favourites. Classic design with so many colourways, its impossible not to find something that you adore. And very cleverly all the designs can be matched with Sarah’s polka dots and striped fabric for amazing combinations. Brilliant for everything from curtains to kitchen linens (coming soon to Rascal & Roses) a winner all round.
KatieMosa: Bugs Life in Fushia, Fowl Play and Plumage – KatieMosa has a lovely range of quirky hand drawn wildlife printed on a range of both linen and cotton. Eye catching yet not overwhelming., they fit into so many different colour and style schemes. They would be a takling point in any room scheme and can be used in upholstery as well as for soft furnishings. I also love KatieMosa fabric for lampshades.
Flohr & Co: Pheasants & Storks – These beautifully designed fabrics from Flohr & Co are hand drawn, then painted and stitched and finally printed onto Linen. The end results are a very detailed and unique collection. We love the pheasants for their contemporary country appeal and the storks are just fab for a nursery or baby’s room.
All of these fabrics and more are available from Rascal and Roses. Our pieces start at Fat Quarters (which are 50cm x 70cm). That’s perfect for small crafting projects or for covering a 20cm diameter lampshade:
Or making some 30cm cushions:
As always thanks for popping by.
